Ronald Summers, 71, of Conneaut, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. He was born March 24, 1953 in Conneaut, the son of Roy and Rita (Tisdale) Summers.
Ron graduated from high school and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving from 1972 until his honorable discharge as Master Sergeant in 1994. He was a member of the Conneaut Moose #408, VFW Riders Post #6846 and enjoyed motorcycles, traveling, family gatherings, and birthdays with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife Bonita (Christo) Summers; daughters Nikki (David Mott) Summers of Conneaut, Tonya Summers of Melbourne, FL, and Regina (Rick) Inman of Madison; sons Scott (Kelly) Summers of Hilton Head Island, SC, and John (Jen) Summers of Ashtabula; grandchildren Kala (Curtis) Gray, Sheneese (Josh) Kovats, Stone Starcher, Serenity Kincaid, Terry (Jamie) Woodin, Daran (Bethany) Woodin, Jessica (Brett) Powers, Melody Summers, Breanne Summers, Tatum Marcy, and Christian (Katie Loomis) Hathy; and great grandchildren Emma, Ada-Lynn, Noah, Brennan, Braxton, Crew, Cash, Harper, Levi, Lila, Jayden, Bailey, Jonah, and a baby on the way.
Also surviving is his sister Mary Jane (Rob) Slaughter of Naples, FL; brothers Steve (Cheryl) Summers of Conneaut, and Ted Summers of McKenzie, TN; step-sister Pam (Dave) Daggett of McKenzie, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Greg Summers; and great-granddaughter Viviana Hathy.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens with military honors conducted by the American Legion Cowle Post #151.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, March 14, 2025 at the funeral home.
