Ruth E. Strahosky, 99, of Conneaut, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, February 17, 2021 at The Villa at the Lake, in Conneaut. She was born July 31, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of Ralph and Esther (Hill) Ehrenfeld.
Ruth received her Bachelor of Arts and Science and a Masters of Elementary education and taught second grade for the Willoughby/Eastlake School District located east of Cleveland, retiring in 1984.
She was Lutheran by faith and enjoyed boating on Lake Erie in her early years with her husband, and in her retirement years, golfing with her husband, gardening, and traveling, especially to Alaska and Washington, D.C.
Survivors include her son Jack (Judy) Strahosky, III, of North Kingsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jack Strahosky, Jr., whom she married in 1950; and her sister Margaret Clovis Chase.
No local services will be observed. A private family service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
