Sandra (Sandy) Lee Corbett

Sandra (Sandy) Lee Corbett went home to be with Jesus on March 11, 2025 at the age of 86.

She was born on September 22, 1938 in Kane, PA. The daughter of Earle R Corbett and Ethyl M Corbett (Wilcox).

Sandy graduated from McDowell High School in 1956. From there she went to Erie Commercial School and graduated in 1957 with a Secretarial Science degree.

She was a stay-at-home mom for many years. 

She went back to school getting certified in Medical Terminology in 1979 and then from there she completed and got certified as a Medical Assistant from J. H. Thompson Academies in 1992.

Sandy was a very good seamstress, sewing wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, gowns for various occasions and everyday wear. She started sewing at 12 years old, learning from her dad.

Sandy loved attending church, singing in the choir or solo, teaching Sunday School and Bible School and various other church activities. She loved the people of the church and the Lord. 

She also loved attending the Bible Conference at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC.

Sandy was also an animal lover, having many dogs and a couple of kitties in her lifetime.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Lee Mitchell (Mario), Gilbert “Lee” Brewer, Jr (Tammy Sue), Randy Brewer. She has 7 grandchildren: Samuel (Faith), Seth (Sarah), Stephen (Brandy), Becky (Casey) Surls, Jaylnn, Aiden, Lynnea and 8 great grandchildren.

She is buried at South Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Conneaut Ohio as she arranged for a Green Funeral. 

Memorials may be made to Bob Jones University, 1700 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29614, an Animal shelter/rescue of one's choice, or to Bella Care Hospice, 1933 Route 45, Austinburg, OH 44010. Envelopes are available at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, which is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
