Shirley A. (Winslow) Allen

Shirley Ann Allen, 89 of Conneaut passed away at home Sunday May 29, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 15, 1932 in Erie, PA to Edward and Betty Winslow.

Shirley married William Allen on June 16, 1950 at the First Methodist Church in Conneaut, Ohio.

During her life Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed camping, reading, sewing, playing cards, and preparing delicious home cooked meals for her family throughout her life.

Survivors include her children, Cheryl Cordell of Conneaut, William (Cindy) Allen of Norwalk, Ohio, Jeff Allen of Conneaut, and Jim Allen of Huntersville, North Carolina; beloved grandchildren, Jeremy (Tara) Eaton of Erie, PA, Joanna (Charlie) Lail of St. Stephens, South Carolina, and Joseph Eaton of Conneaut; great-grandchildren, Allyson, and Kelcie Eaton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward, and Betty Winslow; her husband of 52 years, William Allen; brothers, Raymond, Edward, Richard, and William Winslow.

Shirley requested a private family celebration of life at a later date.

The family would like to thank Dr. Huston, Hospice of the Western Reserve and the Conneaut Rescue Squad for the dedication and care they provided for Shirley.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve or to the Conneaut Rescue Squad.
