Shirley M. (Young) Robinson

Shirley M. Robinson, 93, of Ashtabula, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Country Club Retirement Center in Ashtabula. She was born February 10, 1929 in Plattsburgh, NY, the daughter of Ivory Young and Harriett (Lyons) Young.

Shirley was a former member of South Ridge Baptist Church in Conneaut and a current member of Bible Baptist Church in Ashtabula. She and her husband Dan spent 37 years ministering to truck drivers.  They were the main force behind Over-The-Road Evangelism, a non-profit mission.

Over the years, she raised 16 foster children. She enjoyed baking, crocheting towels and ducks, and reading. She had a huge loving heart, giving to so many.

Survivors include her son Mark (Jerri) Robinson of Greely, CO; her daughter Barbara McCaskill of Effingham, SC; and grandsons Daniel and Jonathan McCaskill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Daniel T. Robinson (of 61 years); three sisters, Barbara, Viola, and Hilda; and her brother Clem Young.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Monday, August 22, 2022 in South Ridge Baptist Cemetery, Center Rd. Conneaut, with Pastor Greg Cole of Bible Baptist Church officiating.
