Stephen S. Wilson

Stephen S. “Steve” Wilson, 51, of Ashtabula, OH, passed away at home Tuesday, October 8, 2019.  He was born February 18, 1968, in Conneaut, OH, to David G., Sr. and Margaret (Wagner) Wilson.

                A 1986 graduate of Conneaut High School, Steve worked at Grand River Rubber until his disability in 2010.  He was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2016.  Throughout his disease, he always had a smile on his face. 

                Steve was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.  He was a family man and loved them dearly.  He enjoyed summers, being outside, watching the birds and squirrels, and drawing.

                Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Kris (Jennings); his children Ashley (Adam) Sharp, Hailey, and Stephen Wilson, Jr.; grandchildren Audry, Carson, and Zoie Owen, Marleigh, and Kyla Good; siblings Terri Socko, Jeff, David Jr., and Melissa Wilson; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

                He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Kelley Pearson; granddaughter Violet Sharp; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

                A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2019, at their home, 3623 Dickenson Rd., Ashtabula, OH. At Steve’s request, no formal services will be held.

                Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association NE Ohio Grant Programs, c/o his family.  Envelopes will be available at the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, OH, which has charge of arrangements.
