Steven J. Anderson, Sr.

Steven J. Anderson, Sr., 65, of Conneaut passed away Saturday March 25, 2023 at his home.  Born August 9, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Kenneth and Sarah (Walsh) Anderson.

Steve Married the love of his life, Nancy Anderson, in 1977. Steve loved music and started a DJ business called Madhouse Sound with his dear friend. He graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in communications. He went on to work for MobileComm for 30+ years and was particularly proud of his work and awards received for his work with them. He also was proud of his service with Hernando County Sheriff’s office as telecommunications specialist, where he retired from in 2021. 

He never missed a game or practice for his kids and loved coaching and helping kids. He coached football, baseball and soccer and softball for 25 years and worked extra with any kid wanting to better their game and was a member of bench club. He was an avid Ohio sports fan and collector of sports memorabilia. He loved watching the Browns, Ohio State, and the Cleveland Indians with his family and friends. Steve was an avid bowler. Steve loved animals, especially his beagle Tilda and his mixed pup Roxie. 

 Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Sheldon) Anderson; children, Erin Anderson, Steve (Libby) Anderson; grandchildren, Sydney, Garrit, Twila, Mason, and Maggie; siblings, Evelyn (Carl) Latimer, Connie Debord, Bill (Donna) Anderson, Maureen (Howie) Robinson III, Kenneth (Kim) Anderson, Kurt Mayes, Linda (Ed) Gaugh and Bonnie Moore, his dog Roxie, many cousins nephews nieces, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Donna Hand, Karen Mayes, Arnold Sheldon and a baby brother and infant granddaughter.

No services or calling hours will be held.

The arrangements have been entrusted to the Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut.
