Tammy Kosiba Obituary

Tammy Marie (Taylor) Kosiba, 63, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted Christian, she is now rejoicing with God, her daughter Autumn, and all who went before her in Heaven, after a lengthy, hard-fought battle with ongoing illness.

Born on December 11, 1961, to the late Thomas Sr. (1992) and Joan Taylor (1986), Tammy was a 1979 graduate of Conneaut High School. Admired Wife and great love of 20 years to John Kosiba. Treasured Mother to Sarah (Matt) Terry and the late Autumn Louise Falke (who passed on May 29, 1992, at the age of 9). Adored Nonna to Alice and Jack Terry.

Beloved sister to Timmy (the late Vicki, 2005) Taylor, Terry Taylor, and Kathi (Jim) Swann. Cherished daughter-in-law to Rosemarie (the late Stanley, 2017) Kosiba, and sister-in-law to Stan Kosiba and the late Theresa Janke (2025). Lifelong best friend to Ann Turner. Loving aunt, cousin, and valued friend to countless others.

In her early years, Tammy worked at the Conneaut Red Barn and later at Ashtabula Perry Park News and K-Mart. Most recently, she was employed for 20 years at Conneaut Orlando Brother’s Golden Dawn, where she met “her honey,” John. Many customers came to know her as the friendliest cashier there, and she formed lasting friendships with both coworkers and customers alike.

Tammy had a profound love for life and the people around her. She enjoyed cooking, singing, dancing, taking pictures of — and with — her family, always saying, "Pictures are all you have when someone is gone."

She loved taking game-land rides and traveling with her honey, John, spending quality time with her daughter and son-in-law, crafting and planning fun holiday parties with her grandkids — who were truly the apple of her eye — all of which brought her immense joy.

She very much enjoyed nature, especially feeding and photographing the deer and birds of all kinds — eagerly anticipating the return of the hummingbirds each spring after a long-awaited winter. A compassionate soul, Tammy adored her indoor and feral kitties, each of whom she cared for deeply.

Her resilience was truly admirable. Tammy’s faith in God was strong and untouchable. She had an optimistic outlook on life, always with a cheerful disposition. She truly understood how fleeting life on Earth could be — never taking a single day for granted — and chose to live each and every one to the fullest.

Her faith, family, friends, music, and photographs brought her peace and comfort. Even in her final, most challenging weeks, she kept her sense of humor and, "I’m just going to keep moving until I can’t move anymore" attitude — which inspired all who knew her.

Tammy was a dedicated member of South Ridge Baptist Church in Conneaut.

A devoted, loving, and proud Wife, Mother, and Nonna, whose void will be felt immensely. As she would say to us — and made sure we knew it was “her line” — We love you more than all the grains of sand in the whole entire world. You were, and always will be, loved beyond measure.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of the Western Reserve, in particular her nurse, Erick, and her aide Lynn, for their compassionate care during Tammy’s final months.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 13, 2025 at South Ridge Baptist Church, 924 Center Rd., Conneaut, with Rev. Dr. Roger P. Hogle officiating. Burial will follow in East Conneaut Cemetery. Please join Tammy’s family for a luncheon following the graveside service at South Ridge Baptist Church.
