Verna M. (Dixon) Stern

Verna M. Stern, 71, of Sheffield Township, passed away Friday evening, September 18, 2020. She was born March 9, 1949 in Conneaut, the daughter of Oscar and Verna (Biscoff) Dixon.

Verna graduated from Conneaut High School in 1967 and enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, cooking, reading, and loved dogs.

Survivors include her son Lee Stern of Jefferson; her granddaughter Baylee Stern; her brothers Edward (Peggy) Dixon of Meadville, PA, George Dixon of Conneaut, and Roy (Joan) Dixon of Conneaut; and numerous nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William A. Stern in 1993; and her brothers Bill and Gib Dixon.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 24, 2020 in Gageville Cemetery, Plymouth Gageville Rd., Sheffield Township, OH 44048. The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, has been entrusted with arrangements.
