Warren S. Boggs, 90, of Ashtabula, passed away at home Monday evening, December 6, 2021. He was born July 14, 1931 in Ashtabula, the son of Wayne and Alice (Jepson) Boggs.
Warren was a 1950 graduate of Edgewood High School. He married his high school sweetheart Berniece Kemp and shortly after was drafted into the United States Army. Warren served during the Korean Conflict in Fairbanks Alaska where he achieved the rank of Corporal. After his honorable discharge, Warren and Berniece returned to Ashtabula and had 3 children. Warren worked for the Ashtabula Bow Socket for 32 years and then for SAS Rubber in Painesville until retirement in 1996.
Warren was a member of the East Side Presbyterian Church, the Edgewood Alumni Association, the Sam Wharram Nature Club, and the Rose Society of N. E. Ohio. He enjoyed his family, gardening, bird watching, candle making, woodworking, woodcarving, and reading.
Survivors include his wife Berniece (Kemp) Boggs; his sister Beverly Ekensten, his daughter Merrilee Foster; his sons Todd (Debbie) Boggs, and Tim (Tammy) Boggs, grandchildren Kyle Boggs, Lauren Foster, John Foster, Kaitlyn Boggs, and Grant Boggs.
A private family memorial service was conducted Thursday December 16 at the East Side Presbyterian Church followed by inurnment at Saybrook Cemetery. The American Legion Neal Post 743 Honor Guard of North Kingsville provided military honors.
