Wilfredo Ortiz

Wilfredo Ortiz, 73, of Conneaut, passed away December 2, 2024. He was born September 4, 1951 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the son of Miguel and Faficita (Valle) Ramos.

Wilfredo worked as a farm hand for Boyce Tree Farms for many decades. His friends and family called him Fred. Fred was a hard worker and was always ready to lend a hand. He enjoyed working on cars, playing Spanish music and dancing, having a cold beer, doing yard work, gardening, fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his best friend Raul. 

Survivors include his sons Will (Amanda) Ortiz of Conneaut, Miguel Ortiz of Connecticut, and Joseph (Jeanie) Ortiz, Sr. of Conneaut; his daughter Carmen Ortiz of Connecticut; grandchildren Alexander, Jeramiah, Joseph, Jr., Dominic, Hailey and Owen; great-grandchildren Brooklynn and Scarlett; multiple siblings; and his best friend Raul Maldonado and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Susan (Glass) Ortiz.

No services will be observed.
