William "Bill" DeCaro, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away June 17, 2026 in his 77th year surrounded by his adoring family.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of Mary C. (Pichler) and Angelo DeCaro.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness, humor, and unique way of looking at life touched everyone who knew him. He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Kristene DeCaro of 56 years, and took great pride in his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kristene; his children, Angela (Dean) Fritzsche and Christopher DeCaro; and his cherished granddaughter, Lindsay Fritzsche. And nephew Michael.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Stephanie, who remained forever in his heart.
Also his parents and brother John.
Bill worked for many years at Webb Manufacturing and retired from Creative Millworks. He was respected for his strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to his craft.
Beyond his work, Bill devoted countless hours to coaching Softball, Basketball and Track and Field for Ashtabula Co. Special Olympics athletes. He found great joy in encouraging others and helping them reach their potential, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many athletes and their families.
He was an avid hunter and Canadian fisherman of northern pike and muskey.
Those who knew Bill will remember his quick wit, sharp sarcasm, and the unforgettable "Billisms" that could make people laugh, think, or shake their heads with a smile. His dry humor was one of his greatest gifts, and his one-of-a-kind sayings will continue to be repeated and treasured by those who loved him. Whether offering advice, telling a story, or delivering one of his trademark remarks, Bill had a way of making every conversation memorable.
More than anything, Bill loved his family. He will be remembered for his caring heart, his sense of humor, his dedication to others, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.
Though he will be deeply missed, his laughter, wisdom, and "Billisms" will live on in the hearts of family and friends for generations to come.
Respecting his wishes there will be no calling hours.
