William “Bill” Hewitt, 83, of Conneaut, passed away at home on Friday, November 7,
2025. He was born on May 5, 1942, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of Paul and Belva
(Hoplight) Hewitt.
Bill worked as a Vibration Analyst and Thermographer for CEI and later retired from
FirstEnergy. Known for his strong work ethic and creativity, he enjoyed painting and
fixing cars, tool and die work, remodeling, coaching baseball, teaching at Vo-Ed, and
spending time with his family.
Bill was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kingsville, where he formed many lifelong
friendships.
Survivors include his wife Nancy (Wade) Hewitt; daughter Kylee (Mike Miller) Hewitt of
Columbia, SC; son Scott (Maria) Hewitt of St. Petersburg, FL, and son-in-law, David
(Michele) Fetters of Plymouth, OH; grandchildren Taylor Fetters, Alex (Kaylie), Nick and
Owen Hewitt; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Michele Fetters, grandson David
Scott Fetters, sister Donna Johnson, and brothers Alan and Gary Hewitt.
At Bill’s request, no services will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve
or Harmony Cares.
