Yvonne “Bunny” Hemphill, 83 of Conneaut passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 31, 2021 surrounded by her family at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home in Kingsville, OH. She was born October 27, 1937 in Erie, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Joseph and Inez (Pueschel) Kutterna.
Bunny worked for the Conneaut Coin Laundry from 1994 until her retirement in 2004. She enjoyed volunteering at the Conneaut Thrift Shop and received the Senior Citizen of the year from the City of Conneaut in August of 2006. In her younger years she was active in Girl Scouts and did competition Roller Skating, crocheting, and doing crafts.
Her greatest joy was dressing up as a clown and being in the local parades, surprising children for their birthdays and visiting hospitals to cheer the patients up. You would always see Bunny dressed in appropriate attire for all the holidays and walking with her favorite dog Daisy in the front basket of her cart with a smile that would light up the world.
Bunny will be deeply missed by her children Leesha Nush of Bolder City, Nevada, Eric (Kimberly) of Ashtabula, OH and Jerry (Debra) of Conneaut, OH. And 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and more distant relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry L., two sons Vincent and Robin Dean, sisters Maxine Kenswiskie, Wilma Watson, and Karen Pretz; brothers Fredrick, George, Merie, Paul and Joseph Jr. Kutterna.
At this time there will be no services observed and a celebration of life gathering will be held in the future.
The Marcy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 208 Liberty St. Conneaut, OH has been entrusted with her arrangements.
